Bolts and fasteners
« on: October 13, 2010, 08:44:47 am »

So, I'm looking at buying a big assortment of bolts/fasteners/nuts/washers/spacers etc.. does anyone have any suggestions for specifics I should load up on? 90% of my work is on Evo's and Big twins. Anyone know a good site that sells assortments? I found one that isn't bad, but looking for some more input on what I should actually get. Really have no prob dropping a few hundred bucks on them.
http://www.boltdepot.com/description.aspx?cc=30&cs=114&cm=41&cd=1413&cp=7508 is the decent site I found.

Send DAVE a PM... he's a distributor for a hell-of-a-bunch of resources of that kind.  What he don't have he'll guide you to where it is and where the prices are reasonable.

"Industrial Screw".... sounds like a great place to lose money... that, or a great title for a Hustler/Snap-on type calendar..HAHA...

There's an outfit in Tacoma, WA that's called "Tacoma Screw".  The gal that answers the phone there is guaranteed to make your blood pressure drop.  Well worth the call just for horn-dog sake.

baton rouge louisiana , but near every large city has a bolt supply.. they all stock stainless.. FASTENAL  stocks stainless too.. you have to make a list of all you need.. each size & length bolt.. i buy nuts, washers, by the box of 100 pieces.. it can get costly, but worth the look on a new bike.. some people worry about the grade of steel.. all the stainless hardware is plenty strong enough for any application.. get some " silver goop " also.. keeps stainless on stainless from gualing..
