Chopper Exhaust. Anyone recognize?
« on: October 18, 2009, 09:05:45 pm »

I got this exhaust with a BMC Chopper I bought.  No paperwork, tags, stamps or part numbers to identify the brand.  I have a rigid with an Evo style Rev-Tech engine.  Does anyone recognize this exhaust???  I want to sell it, but have no info.... HELP! :-)

brother there are so many exhaust makers out there today, its near impossible to keep up with them all.. i understood that BMC had an individual contracted to make exhaust for them, though, they did use some aftermarket brands also.. its hard to estimate the value of those pipes.. compare to anything similar for a good retail price.. but even new , as they are.. i'm thinking maybe 200.00 resale.. if you can find a buyer.. alot of us collect parts for later , but look for really lowball deals when we buy like that, as we have no immediate need.. i'd think they would sell easily , looking at the styling..

The tips remind me of Martin Bro's pipes. With that said I'm sure there are knock offs also as the MB's would have a welded tag on them.

I could be wrong, but they look like Santee pipes to me. Cheapy version of the high dollar pipes. About $150-$200 new.

........but I could be wrong.

They do look like MB's. However MB is really proud of their pipes and they weld ID tags on their stuff, or at least they use to when they were building them.......

I'd lean in that direction, knock offs of the originals.
