« on: January 07, 2011, 03:31:53 pm »

Hello I got a question I got a 200 frame the width of the rear section is 11 inches I was wondering if a 240 tire would fit if I use a chain ? has anybody put a wider tire on a 200 frame? its a ultima frame and the tech sheet read 200 tire using a 1 1/4 inch belt so in thinking Ive got at least another inch or so ?  thank you

Sounds as simple as a bunch of measurements. A 240 uses a 8 1/2" rim. I'd have to measure my bike, I'll do that when I head out later to get lunch for the kids (snow day).

i dont think you'll be able to squeeze it in.. the fender will be too narrow.. the hub may fit but the sprocket & rotor on it will make it too close a fit.. if you use a sprotor set up, that would be the best chance for it all to jive..
