A Vintage & New Harley Parts and Restoration Place
« on: November 03, 2011, 08:33:31 pm »

Well this butcher has not responded after more than 72 hours. It takes a real man to make things right and all I asked for was the repair cost of three fins and the ignition he butchered. Now that I've had time to go over the engine, there's more. Deep scratches in the rocker covers and he didn't check for clearance of the rockers which are smacking the cover. Tool marks and scratches on anything that has a shine. Worst of all when he took a grinder to the front head he did nothing to protect the one off pushrod tube. This guy is either a rank amateur or worse he has no pride in his work or himself. I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

His name is George Gale and here's the name of the butcher shop;
A Vintage & New Harley Parts and. Restoration Place c/o George Gale 192 Parade Road Meredith, NH 03253. Phone: 603.520.4912.
george@avintagecycle.com
dogsnkat@metrocast.net

Stay away from this guy better yet run.

Why the undercut? Now that I deburred the fins you can see he clipped a forth.

Here's another indicator of the pride this butcher takes in his work.

I sent this cocksucker an E-MAIL today asking where My parts where,if in fact he's even started on my motor....what he's done if anything.
I guess I have to own up to the assumption that this guy is just a lyin bastard....his word means Nothing whatsoever.....every time Marty and I have spoke to him......he has other interests....mainly his fuckin Dog.

It is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to take as long to assemble a motor in the time it has taken to put Marty's Pan together....if you spent 45 minutes a day on the sumbitch.....................it would take AT BEST 2-3 weeks to knock the Sumbitch out.

Fuck man....I'm pissed.....I cant complete this post with out goin Fuckin Apeshit. >:(

CW.....This fucker is a HELL OF A MACHINIST!!!......thats the bitch of the situation!!

He just lies like hell.......or.......I'm only hear'n what I want to hear.
When someone tells me they are doin a certain thing with in a certain time frame.....I take that SERIOUSLY........I've strived all my life to be a man of my word,if I tell you I'm doing this, that or the other thing....I come through.Period.
I'm very confident in his machinist abilities......but his detail work on the Panhead he just finished really torqued my balls.....I wrote him another e-mail last night, which he responded to and he's tellin me the same shit he told me 3 weeks ago:yeah,I ordered the cylinders, pistons, cam and some cam chest gears...........If I wanna be jerked off I'll get the OL ta do it.............Frustrating right now is the word.

obviously there are many people who feel sub-standard work is acceptable .. theres no need to send a motor here there & yonder for a rebuild.. if its broken down, the parts bead blasted, powdered , & all the internals brought up to speed.. what else is there ?? any local h.d. shop can do this.. i'd pay more for the option of having a see it scenerio as its done.. by the time you add shipping you cant be saving much ..
7 if the guys prices are THAT LOW , that should be a clue to his ability..   you may need to have your cases & heads blasted if they dont do it there, or have yer jugs powdered .. but still the alternatives are far worse.. if your having some wild shit or marriages of parts done, there may be need for a special person to help.. but still.. i see to many guys repeatedly getting into these fucked up situations.. this guy here must use a 7 in. grinder for his machine work.. this is awful.. i'd get my parts back, fuck letting him complete it.. why would you think he's gonna do any better than what is seen.. its worth loosing some cash to stop him from fucking up more stuff.. some folks think this is acceptable, just like some think its o.k. to use 1/2 gallon of bondo to smooth a fender out.. this guy gives good motor builders a bad name .. & if he's lying to you, i dont know whats worse, lying or thinking the work is acceptable..

On another note FYI, if you do a search of his web or company, just below is my thread from the J.J.  Just a heads up.

Well........(yeah,I know....deep subject..LOL)
I sent my shovelheads out to Randy torgesen....the feller that bilt my trike motor....He's doin 'em from shit ta git.
They'll flow better than an EVO when he's done...gonna mill 'em .060 to get the compression up a bit,Bore em for 3 5/8" cylinders and re-weld 2 busted fins.
I believe he's using S&S triple wound springs and Kibblewhite valves and guides also.
The heads are where ya make Power!!!!
I'm keepin the bottom end simple.......................4 1/4" stroke for smooth running.....the bottom end is bein done by a fellow in PA....he's an old Knuckle, pan shovel guy that Hates EVOS and TWINKS!!!
My kinda guy!! ;D
I'll fill yas in when things start comin together. 8)
