ah.. you have seen the light & moved away from the dodges .. i drive a f-350 crew cab 4x4 single rear wheel truck.. its tricked with all the garbage that blew on them upgraded or removed.. got damn does it run too.. like a fuckin dragster.. though i rarely run it hard.. but mine aint fer sale.. if it was the price would be up there.. there are few like mine with the upgrades you will find for sale.. if you do buy a 6.0 powerstroke.. do the egr delete immediately.. trust me.. good low mileage 7.3 's are high cost.. i do know of a few good trucks fer sale.. exactly what do you want & price range.. a 7.3 with a 150k or so are available decently priced.. 04 to 07 will be a 6.0.. the 6.0's are great , if you give them the attention they need first..if not its a matter of time before they roll snake eyes on you.. any mechanic hates the later 6.4's .. though they seem dependable from what i see..

Lot of em' on da' road.
Some where a long the line that Havolen (mispelled) oil is the only oil recomended cause their is a sensor that the oil passes through causes the injectors to screw up because of air bubbles.  :o

My Dodge gets any where from 20 to 25 MPh
Ford diesel 13 to 18....from what they post, but then ya is haulin a lot of heavy metal..add 4 wheel drive, more gears to twist.

Who knows..I've had awful good luck with two Dodges...Knock on wood..
Sooooooooo did is going to be a new experience for me. :o
They are all "pigs in a poke."

That is a decent deal if it's a diesel.

If you can get away with a two wheel drive than that will save a big chunk of money.

I recently paid my truck off and was looking at the 12's and I just can't give mine up for the trade in value.

I went and looked at the 450 tonight.
"Supposed' to have a new motor (less than 5,000 miles)
Had hail damage on hood and top, needed brakes, tires, bla, bla.  Made them an offer of $15,000 (they do the brakes, clean-up, do the egr bypass, they said no, soooooo we came home.
Really, that truck had been rode hard and put away wet.

I'll just keep a lookin',  :)

I had a F350 dually awhile back and was a great truck, would pull anything you wanted to with it, got decent mileage too[22mpg on the freeway and 18 in the city ] Then one day the trannie blew up , took it to the dealer to get it fixed, hell fire they wanted $7,000.00 to replace it with a used one from Ford, so I sold the truck and it only had 140,000 miles on it. But it was a better truck than the 6.o litre, it was a 7.3.
 Good luck in your find.

What ia pissing me off is ya can find used 3\4 tons no extended cabs..the Rangers alllllllll day long.
Ya step up into the 1 tons...crew cab..crew cab..all 4 wheel drive.  It is though Ford never made a regular 1 ton and sold it.

I'm thinking that I just might keep the Dodge and keep my $$$$'s in the bank.

Gonna look at it Friday.  :)

be careful about any newer fords that have been chipped and or EGR delete. there has been a new law passed and you cant even buy a EGR delete kit any longer. kinda sux but the govt is now stepping in and diesels from a certain year forward will have to adhere to current emmisions. so i would look for a pre 07 dodge preferably or if you have to a ford. a friend of mine down here works with the owner of DPR tuning and they specialize in ford tuning. in fact they just bought a trailer mounted dyno that my bud and i are going to pick up in texas in feb.

Tennessee has no state or SMOG inspection...(soooooooo far)..don't plan on moving either.
Have two Dodge 1 tons now..gonna try something different this time.

Andddddddd, I aint a gonna get one of the newer ones and have to buy the "cow piss" either.  $30.00 a gallon what a fucking rip off.  (well, guess that ya gotta pay somebody something to stand their and hold the funnel while the cow does her business..)

Okay Dave..bought the truck $13,000.. No Biggie...Too clean and tight to pass up, did have 80,000 miles on it and hadn't been doctered up..no oil leaking from the back main or front seal, front trans. seal or tranney tail shaft, title was in his name alone, had maint. reciets for the time that he has owned it, 6 new tires.  Gonna give me the cable and stuff to re-program the chip if I want to go to a deadlier setting.  Right now it is on the economey setting.

Now....he said that he had had the EGR delete done..is their a way to check once I get it home????

Daughter just informed me that she bought me a set of big bull nuts for Christmas to go on the hitch.. ;D ;D

Thanks,

Godzilla came home today. 8)
We a happy camper..
The maint. records he provided me made my decision.
He had about $5,000 worth of work done on it in the last year plus 6 new tires.  (all the stuff that people told me to look for that would be bad)
