Went to work yesterday it was 10 degrees. By the time I got off work it was 10 below zero. Got up this morning to minus 22 degrees. Spo'da get close to 30 below over the next couple days. Beautiful clear skies, though!! Haven't seen the sun in a while (and not just 'cause it's dead of winter in Alaska and the sun don't rise till 10 am and goes back down at 2:30 pm.). We've been hit with some knarly snows over the past several weeks plus winds and heavy clouds. Cordova, AK and Valdez, AK are suffer'n the worst of it with over 22 ft of snow accumulated with occasional rains that seriously weigh the shit down and is crush'n roofs and cause'n avalanches. Anchorage, AK just reached its all time record of snow accumulation and there's still another two months left of winter left to deal with. I hope it runs every Cheechako out of this state and back home to the States where they belong. I'm sick of them fuckwads joe'n up the highways with their flipped upside down vehicles, and their snail crawl'n pace up and down every damn hill. My commute is typically a 40 minute drive. Put them fuckwads in the mix and it turns into a two to three fuck'n hour drive. Wish them fuckers would either leave State or stay home, but then.... Alaskan employers (and the School system) don't give a shit that it's snow'n. Learn to drive in it and get to work (and get them kids to school) or lose your job. I suppose there's their motivation to risk their's and everyone else's lives with their stupidity.

January and February are the coldest months up here with February's end bring'n on the breath of Spring. Six to seven more weeks of this shit and it'll be the make'ns of Springtime once again. WHoooHOOOO!! Gawd, this has been one long fuck'n winter for me and the Mrs. this year. The only ride'n I've enjoyed this winter is plow'n with my ATV with the new 60" plow I got before Christmas. Man, that thing is a hoot to play with. I got one that's sturdy enough to spread earth with this Summer when I finalize the lanscape around the house and seed for a lawn.

I sincerely wish it was beach sand...HAHAHA. Weatherman said it's supposed to warm up to 10 to 15 degrees by weekend. It's not uncommon to have temps like this during Jan and Feb for a week straight. All's good.... it marks the last flailings of winter. By mid March, or end of, we'll start see'n trees pop'n buds again. There's only about six more weeks of this shit. By end of April we'll be inhaling mosquitos again.. (whoo-hoo..

) Then it'll be sunshine 24/7 till end of July. WHOOOOOHOOOO!!! Gawd, I love the summers up here!! Makes winters well worth the wait.
