Old GM's are sweet, new GM's lack all the way around. The Vette and the Cadillac are all I would spend my coin on.

Dodge has nailed it with retro'ing (is that a word?) of their cars. They hit a soft spot in the baby boomers and they are selling cool cars.

Ford has the Mustang and the GT. Other than that if it weren't for their trucks I wouldn't even turn a head driving by the dealership.

On a truck level as long as their is a Cummins in a Dodge that will remain a powerful truck (no body buys a Dodge, you buy a Cummins and get a Dodge with it!  ;D ;) ) Chevy is a great personal truck, plenty of power but lacks any weight capacity despite what the door sticker says. Ford is as crude as they come however they will work their ass off with weight capacity. I own a Ford and it is meant to tow and haul. It isn't nearly as nice interior wise as an equivalent Dodge or GM. I was just weighing in around 20k this last trip out and the old girl never made a peep about running along at 80mph for 17 hours! That's my girl.  ;D

yeah... my old '97 F150 just keeps runnin'...Over 400,000 kms...(250,000 miles)
Original everything, cept the box (2nd 0ne) tailgate (3rd one) and on my 3rd box liner, which is toast. The box lays on the cab, it's so bent.

All I ever do is change the oil, plugs and wires. Original battery was in it 9 years, and i just changed it to be safe. The starter puked last year. The alternator went at about 200k. thats it. It dont leak, and it will still smoke the tires. oh yeah brakes, tires & U joints... always.

Just got back from a pull to florida, but i'm guessin the total package was around 8500-9000 pounds. Not bad for a 4.6. It did groan in them mountains, though. no 80 mph for that truck.

Now for my 2000 Cadillac, I love that car. but it is not the f150. It's only got 70.000 miles on it, and there's more than this and that wrong with it. now the rad's leakin'...the seat heaters dont work, i had to get the air fixed last year...it'a almost as expensive to fix as a Harley!
