ya'll seen this guy FUIMUS , lurking the fuck around thru here.. word has it he has a bike he is working on.. that in itself is o.k. , but he aint showed us no pics. of the thang fer us to partake.. WTF ,  lets give em' up dude.. i did find this one pic. of the platform he had to work with.. story is he got it from some asshole in louisiana ..

LOL Okay I'll send some updates. Have some wiring questions for ya'll. Turns out I must have signals and other bullshit in Utah before they'll make it street legal.

Bought the smallest LED's I could find, going to drill it and rewire. The guy at Vicious Cycle was a stud and made me a hell of a deal. (http://www.viciouscycleworks.us/khxc/ccp0-prodshow/microo10.html)

Bought a wire-plus harness (http://www.wire-plus.com/Automotive-Start-Motor-Mount-Wiring-System-Chrome-with-lighting-control-module_p_93.html) and got a hell of deal there too.

Got this dakota digital (http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=264/category_id=560/home_id=-1/mode=prod/prd264.htm). This fucker is big, so I still might send it back.

Need to figure out how to mary the two

I have an idea to hide the sumbitch, I want to put the dakota in a toolbag leather on the front so that I'm the only one that sees it :). For example, I want to cut a hole in the leather bag and just have the front of the speedo peaking out, hiding wires in there. Shouldn't be able to see it from the front, it'll just look like a tool bag :)

I'll get some pics, fuckn shitty phone was all blurry but ow well.

OH, SHIT.. THAT WIRING IS SO SIMPLE AS IS.. WHY NOT JUST ADD ON.. THESE ENOUGHT ROOM TO SLIDE A FEW MORE WIRE THRU THE BACKBONE.. IF THE ALL BLACK WIRE IS FUCKING YOU UP I CAN SUPPLY A DIAGRAM.. THE WIRES ARE SO FEW I NEVER MARK OR COLOR CODE THEM.. EXCEPT ON BIKES I BUILD WITH INTENT TO SELL ..RUN ONE WIRE FROM THE IGN. SWITCH TO UNDER THE SEAT.. ADD A 20 AMP BREAKER THEN A  FLASHER TO THAT... THEN RUN 2 WIRES TO THE HAND SWITCHES { ONE TO EACH } & FROM THERE TO THE BLINKIES..

SIMPLE.. I WISH I WAS THERE TO HELP..  WANT ME TO GIVE THE GUY A CALL ..CHECK INTO THE SIZE LITES REQUIRED ALSO. THEY MAY HAVE A MINIMUM SIZE..

MOTHER FUCK .. with all that speedo shit & wires you might need to rewire.. damn.. there goes simplicity.. shoulda used the simply speedo without all that shit.. you coulda made it all jive very easily.. three wires on the plain dakota speedo.. if i knew you was gonna do all this i woulda did the labor for free while i had it here.. being as i sorta have a lasting interest in that bike.. but if you dont use that black plate with the spade, i'll buy it from you.. & if you use floorboards i'll buy the foot controls too.. hell , i coulda bent you up a bitch bar & made a pan for a p-pad too.. i'dda been happy to do it all for you.. whats hunting season in utah ?? maybe i outa just fly on up.. i could use about a month vacation..

o.k. jaybrake has the blinky switches.. 2 styles, you only need one . the ones on the left are left & right sold separately.. the one on the right fits either side.. & should work on your controls.. the ones on the left will work no doubt.. it will do the blinkies on each side & a horn if needed..

I'll be calling you in just a bit, sending all of this shit back. Just had to see it, but after mocking it on, it would totally ruin it. I want to hide the signals and keep stuff off the bars. I want em clean, can't decide to do with a speedo though. All I know is that I don't want it on the bars, thought about putting around the rockers, but I think the vibration would kill it.

Well with the help of Dave we did up the Dyna S installation, breather and adjusted clutch and gas cables. I took a series of photos and I'm going to write up a tutorial on how to replace a stock sensor with a Dyna S for the newbs like me :)

Here's some updated pictures, as mentioned. Sending all the other shit back and going back to simple  ;)

WOW BRO.. i wasnt aware h.d. had black motors like that.. with the black nose cone & rockers.. that looks fantastic.. very nice..the cap nut kits will really detail it out nicely..  it was cool talking you thru the install of the parts.. some guys ride their whole lives & cant do what you did from a mechanical stand point.. when this is said & done , YOU will be the one who did the work & you can look back over it all knowing you did it yourself & with the satisfaction of knowing how your machine functions.. the fact you arent afraid to dig into it is very important.. you have a very unique bike.. few sport the one of a kind parts used on it.. the many custom machined parts, the mini-disks , the one off aluminum oil tank , the hand done seat, to the revamped tank mounts.. even the rear brake caliper is a vintage performance machine part..even the tail light is actual vintage ford truck, as is the wire loom used ..  the deal with bikes like yours is they cant be changed up alot or the overall look is lost & they become a mix match of parts that make no statement.. actually you are lucky in that , as it separates it from the crowd & gives YOU the individuality that goes with it.. .. when its all up & rolling you can start planning you next bike .. theres an asshole in louisiana that i'd bet will help you out , should you decide to do another one..  ;D ;D

use a couple of the lil' tiny ty wraps & band the coil & ignition wires together , so you can tuck them neatly behind the coil cover.. you'll still need the coil cover off for the static timing.. all you need is a simple test light.. the battery will need to be connected now.. if you need an assortment of good ty wraps let me know.. as promised i will help you with whatever you need..

its just not always about horsepower bro.. alot of guys running big inch motors in chops today will tell you they'de like to drop down in cubes if they could.. & the ones using the smaller in. motors are very happy with them.. this i do know..

JOSH, has done well getting the chop back together.. like so many of us time to work on them is a big slowing factor.. a ph. call to the utah dmv had him jumping thru hoops .. when we talked about it, it just didnt make sense for an already titled bike.. si instead of listening to the ph. instructions we figured it couldnt hurt to just walk it in for a straight up title transfer.. & guess what ??? that was it.. he has 15 days to have any cop verify the numbers on the frame match the title & he's done.. taxes are paid already .. so thats basically done.. all the cap nut kits have been added to the motor , carb. is up , & that baby is timed.. we did a telephone timing job..  ;D ;D worked like a charm..  some oil lines , the exhaust, & stick the tank & seat back on she's ready to push that button.. i had always called the bike " Wild Willy " , due to the deadmans hand , Wild Bill Hickok , & all that type jive .. i have made a few suggestions for some easy to add additions once he get it running .. & josh had thought about adding floorboards to it instead of foot controls , which honestly would work well & give him a closer reach for his feet.. time will tell.. i know i'm just really pleased that bike got a good home & someone to take care of it right..

I agree and I'm one of those who wouldn't buy a big inch motor again. 100-107 is plenty, a little more than stock but not enough to tear the bike apart.

did i mention i was impressed with josh's willingness to dig in.. he's done a great job.. overcame any hurtle very fast.. of course he has a good coach :o :o :o .. serious i'm proud of what he is doing with his new chop.. i'd be pleased to work hand in hand with him on any project.. last hand in hand build i worked on was WOLF's vamp.. that was truly an honor, we clicked together perfectly.. the outcome was spectacular.. a perfect marriage of old & newwer school stuff .. give us a good pic. of vamp Wolfus ..

Update - FUCK N A ---

Okay so here's a bit of background and why it's taking so FUCKING long for me to get this chopper done. I coach little league football for my 12 year old, so with practice and work it's been tough getting in there to finish her up. Well, we went to the championship and won State !!!! FUCK YA!!! We were the underdog, only lost 1 game and that was from the little bastards we played this last Saturday. Anyway, now that excitement is done, I'm ready to move on.

So, went to get her inspected, and got refused - I have to add a horn, blinks and speedo - FUCK. So I got all the parts from a local shop here and need a little help with the wiring.

Dave do you remember the how the wiring diagram was? I did some digging into it, but didn't want to pull wires, looks like I may have to if I want to wire the sumbitch. I'll give ya a call this week

It is in the wiring section on the forum but here is the diagram. If Dave did not run extra wires you can use the Headlight and it's Housing to install the flasher and wiring for the front and run  the wiring for the back through the frame. Hope this help. If not give me a call I will walk you through it Dave has my ####

call me.. i can walk you right thru it with no issues.. the bikes wiring is pure simplicity.. to add the needed thangs is no biggy.. if we had known i coulda did all this for you while it was here.. i'll be out your way in may.. i could stay over a day then if worse comes to worse & get er' done for you..
