New trike build
« on: November 27, 2011, 10:51:11 pm »

Well I have started on a new trike build again, grinn, this one is a single seater but could have an extra seat put on, it has an inverted frontend that is 12 inches over stock, floor boards and foot pedals on it too, HD gas tank with fuel gage ,[tired of running out]
Thinking of painting it Lime Green with gold pearl and ghost skulls on it later.

Yes, it was in the salvage yard, I buy VW's and parts to build, people always ask me if I am going to restore the VW I buy from them and lollll I say Yes, as a different model, grinn.
I have found that if I tell them what I do with the cars, they will not sell it to me,lol

The transaxle is a good one , the motor is a real strong one too, single port, not a lot of horsepower, but will make it down the road,
Heck I'll sell you this one!! Just playing around with building.
My friends here tell me I work too much, but I am relaxing when I am building, grinn, just my nature.

gotta be jacked up dune buggy like with a long springer or inverted front end. 3 seater with luggage and storage and stereo and tow hitch.stock engine is cool.since the wife put herself in the hospital with chopper ride included of a different sort, i feel i do not want to see her on two wheels again.

what would something of that sort go for?

may not be serious though but i am dreaming big.if i get the settlement i hope to get , momma may get a new present.

lollll...... you want a limo, lol. just to give ya an example... the trike I have pictured when done all in flat black will go for around $5000.00, one like you are talking about.. about $10,000-12,000.00.
Ilike them simple and ride the piss out of them. All used parts[cheaper], new parts is what cost you, or I can build you a roller with no trannie and motor and you build it the way you want it, kind of like a mail order bride, cna get her ugly or pretty and all parts work, but then again may not last as long as a youngone, grinn.

She runs strong as hell and fast too, just have to hang on, hyd. clutch and hyd brake pedal, breeze to shift and ride,
Nah no Hooker runs yet, none around here[close by that is] maybe in the spring.
Will ride her for a bit , then put her up for sale on CL and other places.
     Any takers????

I'd do it and put three floats on it.

It's been done..some guy on Craig's list had a trike with a ultra lite motor on it.  Wants two bars of gold for it.
Looks like it would be a pain in the ass driving it.
Wheeeeeellllllleeeeyyyyy, OMG!!!!!!!

Mike, 2 ways to steer it, with rudder on rear or with steering brakes, or better yet just turn the front wheel, like a cycle trike.
